kirupaVille 2:
5 Step Plan
by
kirupa |
14 April 2005The following 5
simple steps will help guide you on the path to getting your
own building on kirupaVille.
- Observe
other Buildings
Before you start designing your own building, make sure
to see how other buildings look. Click here to take a
look at the current version of
kirupaVille.
Looking at other entries will give you a good idea
regarding the level of quality that we expect from
submissions.
- Pick Plot
Sizes
You will have to do your designing on empty
plots custom-sized for the kirupaVille grid. You can use
any of the following plot sizes/templates to create your
building:

Your building MUST LIE
within the plot area. We occasionally make exceptions
for the building's HEIGHT, but make sure to clear
it with kirupa in the kirupaVille forum first.
-
Designing Your Building
Now that you have chosen your plot, you
should design your building. You can use any program
that allows you to zoom in and draw on the pixel level.
Check out B3NKobe's thread regarding
PixelArt tutorials and Mik3's
thread regarding which program you should
use.
- Submitting
Your Building
Once you have designed your building, double
check to make sure everything fits inside the template
design area. Your building must be a static GIF or PNG.
To submit your building, simply
create a new thread in the kF's
kirupaVille sub-forum with your building image attached
to the post:

- Check
Your Thread
After you have
submitted your entry in the kirupaVille, make sure to
check on it periodically to make sure that Kirupa
responds stating that he will add it up.
You should be prepared to face both compliments and
suggestions from your fellow designers. Almost all entries are
accepted and added provided they make any necessary
updates and changes that members suggest!
For a more in-depth guide, check
out the
Info and Facts page. Also, feel free to contact
kirupa by sending him a
private message via the forums.
I hope the information helped.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to post them on the
