Comet
by

This example uses an alpha quirk in
Flash which allows for overlapping translucent movieclips to break
through and create a mask revealing a lower
layer.
Here, the tail of this fiery comet is
a mask created through attaching random translucent spikey clips
from the library onto the main stage which, when enough are
overlapping each other, reveals the orange layer that lies beneath
the dark blue background.
Clicking and holding the left mouse button will allow you to change
the direction of the comet. The direction of turn is based on
whether you mouse
is to the left or right of the comet.
