| Over the past
few months, Wildform has continually updated their
flagship video-to-swf program Flix. First, Flix 2 was
released with plenty of features that made converting
video to Flash better and easier. Shortly after
the release of Flash MX, Flix 2.1 was released to
include MX video compatibility. Now, Wildform is
updating Flix again with two variations: Flix Pro and
Flix Lite. Let's take a look at Flix Pro. Flix Pro is targeted
more toward the high-end user who is interested in
tweaking all aspects of the output media file. Just a
few of Flix Pro's numerous features include:
-
The
classic, easy-to-use interface.
-
Ability to
import from Windows Media, QuickTime, AVI, MPEG, and more.
-
Ability to export to MX, FLV (Flash Video), Flash
3-5 video, and Flix's one-of-a-kind vector video.
-
Features to
optimize the streaming file size to meet any bandwidth
limitations.
-
Quality
features such as Image Smoothing, 2 pass VBR, and
compatibility with Flash Player versions 3-6.
-
Provides
extensive sound customizations such as bitrate,
sampling frequency, and more.
-
Creates
vectorized videos from standard videos.
-
Makes
simple video editing such as hyperlinking easier.
-
Access to
the Wildform Video Library for a limited period of
time and full access to Wildform Resources - a one
stop for tutorials, flas, and more!
