This is an answer to another members asking about onion skinning. I hope that it provides some useful information.

Display Dimmed Frame Contents

Click the frames you want to display with surrounding frames. The stage displays the contents of the frame.

1. Click on the frame you want to display. The stage displays the contents of the frame.
2. Click on the onion skin button to display the dimmed contents of the surrounding frames.
3. Flash displays the dimmed contents of the surrounding stage. You cannot make changes to the dimmed objects.
4. The onion skin markers on the timeline indicate which frames are displayed.
5. To no longer display the dimmed contents of the surrounding frames click the onion skin button.

Display Outlines of Frame Contents

1. Click on the onion skin outline button to display the outlined contents of the surrounding frames.
2. Flash displays the outlined contents of the surrounding frames on the stage. You cannot make the changes to the outlined objects. The onion skin markers on the timeline indicate which frames are displayed on the stage. When you are done click the onion skin outline button.

Changes the numbe of frames displayed

When you are using the onion skinning feature, the onion skin markers on the tieline indicate which frames are displayed on the stage.

1. To display more or less frames on the stage, position the cursor over the startor end marker.
2. Drag the marker left or right to change the number of frames displayed.
3. By default you cannot make changes to the dimmed or outlined objects in the surrounding frames when using the onion skinning feature.

Edit Multiple Objects

1. Click the Edit Multiple Frame button to make changes to all object shown on the stage.
2. Flash displays the contents of the surrounding frames as solid objects. You can now make changes to the contents of all the displayed frames.
