Buttons Contest Information

Hi everyone,
It's time for another contest! This contest's rules are pretty simple. Submit a button - the kind you pin on a shirt or jacket. Here is an example of two such buttons. So...what are you waiting for?

Creating your Entry
We've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to create your own entry. Both PhotoShop and Fireworks templates have been provided (courtesy of AJCates) to help you get started:

Please keep the size of the entry the same as specified in the template, but feel free to modify everything else such as the background color and so on.

Some Other Guidelines
There are a handful of minor things you need to keep in mind:

1. Entries must not contain controversial (offensive, politcal, religious, etc.) content.

2. Please make sure what you are submitting is your own creation.

3. You do not have to submit the PSD or PNG source. Just the final JPEG/PNG output is fine.

4. Have fun.

The last day for submitting your entry is November 10th.

Submitting your Entry
To submit your entry, create a new thread in the Buttons Contest forum with the title being the name of your entry. If you are creating multiple entries, please create a new thread for each entry. Do not put multiple entries in a single thread.

Since your entry will be image based, feel free to host your image on a site such as http://www.imageshack.us and insert the image into your post from this location. You may also attach the images to the forums, but note that non-registered members will not be able to view your awesome creation.

After you have submitted your entry by creating a thread, be sure to make sure that it appears in the Entries List within 24-48 hours of you having submitted your entry.

Prizes
There will be cash-prizes distributed via PayPal as always, so make sure you have a paypal account and are able to receive payments from the US. First prize is $200, second place is $150. and third place is $100.

Hey - you don't build houses with tables so why would you use them on buttons?

When I was a kid, I built a tree-house with the tops of some discarded collapsible tables. I really can't imagine trying to do the same with CSS.

you can make bird houses out of tables, surley that blue bird on twitter must land somewhere of a night on his cyber bird house when everyone has shut up for the night about how the jonas brothers suck. he/she probably goes home from work too you know.

Someone had a sigature that said something like, "you don't use tables to make houses so why make websites out of them" and it kicked off from there. but they have changed it now.
