Haha - thought that was pretty funny. And yeah it is a pretty awesome effect. "Modelling" is said a little giznay, but that'd be my only complaint. Also, I just think that it's randomly awesome when you drag the mouse across all of them back and forth sorta fast, it sounds like your in the middle of a mall or something lol. Pretty awesome, dude, but if anything I'd probably lower the volume a bit so that it doesn't come as such a shock to the unsuspecting.

I just ate a snickers.

I was drawn to it in my local café by the picture of Mr. T on the packaging...

Oh how I love to see B.A. Baraccus once again in the public spotlight, mouthing his "crazy" statements such as "I pity the fool" and "I ain't gittin on no plane..."

Oh how my childhood was filled with different ways to get the man on a plane... this week they drugged his milk. next week they might hold some ether over the dude's mouth...

oh what joyous memories...

Looked at your site for the first time.

I like your design.

Having no way to turn of the taking nav bar is irritating.

I'd consider recommending you to my boss to create a website for my company except for one thing. I can't tell if you have a business website, philosophy blog or personal ad. If I showed your website to my boss, he'd laugh his head off at me. And not because your design skills are lacking. It's because of what your website says about you!

My boss (and your potential client) wouldn't care about whether you are an anarchist or you're a proponent of unschooling or that you are too anti-establishment to take an mainstream acting career if it was offered to you. These things severely detract for your professional business image. They turn what could be an excellent portfolio and business website into something laughable.

If a business site isn't what you were trying to create here, then cool you've achieved it. If you are actually trying to seem legit, you've got to think about breaking up your business and personal. You can have all the philosophy and cheesy photos of yourself you want, but you need to separate those from your legitimate business site.

Me again!

I feel I've changed it enough to warrant a critique. Just the homepage at the moment:

Do you like the bubbles on the nav? I've used a lot of blank space which, I feel, is effective. Anyway, I like it. See what YOU think...

Fix the kerning on the left banner for the small text.

It doesn't look too bad this time. Last thing I think you need to do is scrap that ugly footer and replace it with something that matches the rest of the site.

  • Crank all of the type up
  • Remove that vector figure - it's annoying to have to scroll a whole page height to see content
  • Page fold on the bottom needs to match the negative space
  • Type on the left is blurry
  • A rollout on the nav would be better than it just stopping
  • Don't use so many break tags- use a list where possible and paragraph tags

- The drop shadows are too hard. Make them subtle.
- The bubbles in the nav make no sense at all. Increase the nav's font size if possible and keep the rollovers simple.
- The "email" button is just plain fugly. Created a better, more rounded button for it. And I don't see the point in it being drawn out slowly from behind the interface.
- That silly looking curvy thing at the bottom is again unnecessary and makes no sense whatsoever.
- The page fold is well, nasty and read the above statement for ditto.

The rest, DM covered already. Get back to workin' Mr. P. Math!

I'd suggest increasing the framerate in the flash navigation - the bubbles animation looks kinda jerky.

your vector image is messed up, look at the figure's left shoulder and elbow, as well as the right-upper-arm, it all looks poorly traced, and how come the "face" is a different shade of skin colour, and the person has skin coloured hair??

I can see the effect you are going for, but you are miles away from obtaining it

Much like the voice over navigation that you have, I have to ask whats the point of the bubbles? Again I feel your just doing some thing because you can and there's no true point. To me the image of you sitting is wasted space, which makes me have to scroll to get to the content/information. So are you saying that the image is more important than the content/information? Thing is Timmytots is that reading over your threads they seem to have a pattern, do something because you can, but theres no real logic behind it.
