Afrostyle someone please please help

When you go to my site, the swf loads entirely before displaying anything. So the user is sitting and looking at a blank screen for about a minute before anything appears. This renders my preloading animation on the first frame useless. If you have any suggestions as to how i fix this, please respond (no one ever responds to my posts).

!!!

This is because naming your topic 'someone please please help' might be a bit too unspecific.

The reason why your flash takes long to load is probably because it's big.
Keeping the filesize below 1Mb isn't that hard and keeps your site performance acceptable.

When preloading an swf, you might want to load the 'bigger' swf inside a loader swf which in that case would be a very small swf (< 50k) loading animation

Thanx for the response swooter. I posted this question with a more specific topic name twice before, and no one had answered. Thanx for the idea i will try it.

I searched around other forums for solutions to this problem, and most people said to make sure all the content, except for the preloader, is placed or exported after frame 1. I did that, matter of fact i placed absolutely nothing on frame one. And my bandwith profiler still says that like half the swf is loaded in frame one. Any ideas about that?

Right-click the library items in your FLA and make sure that the "Export in Frame 1" option is unchecked. Then in the Publish Settings, click the "Settings" button next to the Actionscript Version. Here set the "Export Frame for Classes" on frame 2 (or whatever frame is after your preloader).
