Cronjob don't run

Hi

I didn't know where to ask so i decide here.

I have Crontab in my server. I've schedulled a cronjob to run everyminute, everyhour, everyday of the week and every month. No i am not crazy is just to test. My script is working and it runs a PHP email funcion that send me an email. Thats all. I just can't make it working from the cronjob. What am I doing wrong?

Here is my cronjob:

* * * * * /var/www/vhosts/symbolbox.pt/httpdocs/test.php


to be sure that the path is correct I put inside my script this:

// shows the server document root
echo $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];

May be it is useful to say that my server is using plesk an virtuozo. I checked if the crond is running and it is OK, everything green.

I still don't know why it don't run if:

- the directory is correct;
- the script doesn't contain errors (it runs well in the browser);
- the crond is working

what is missing?

Thanks for the reply. My error was this line, after the ** should start with PHP:

* * * * * PHP /var/www/vhosts/username/httpdocs/test.php
