PHP: Jquery Update Database Not Working

Hey, I am using this tutorial right here: http://www.wil-linssen.com/musings/e...th-ajax-mysql/

It is a great tutorial, but I cannot get the database to update at all. The printed query shows changes, but it doesn't update the database.

Any help?

Nevermind. I have gotten it to work.

Simple using this query statement:

$query= "UPDATE `category` SET `order` = '" . $key . "' WHERE `catid` ='" . $value . "'";
$result = mysql_query($query, $handle);

You should try giving yourself 30 minutes with a problem before posting on kirupaForum that you can't do a simple SQL update.

You're forgetting to escape your SQL input, btw.

I do have to admit, this is the dumbest question I have asked. My other questions have been very logical and good questions to ask coming from a learner like me. This was just plain stupid!
