There are three different types of CD drives in Xbox's, only one will play burnt CD's.

You're likely to be out of luck. Find someone with a DVD burner

    I believe it's the Thompson model that doesn't like CD-Rs. Try CD-RWs.

You'll know if you have the Samsung if you have two holes on both sides of the big hole in your CD tray. I've got that one and CD-RWs work like a charm.

it doesn't matter whether you have a modchip or not. It's the actual drive that sometimes has problems reading the discs.

yup drives that wont read cdr msot definitely read cdrw because the film is a little more dense than the cdr film and playback and durability is much more efficent, cdrs specially cheap ones can kill any cd or dvd drives durability because they force the player to work more than it should in order to read it, cdrw refelct the drives light which is what actually reads the cdrom.

For more cd info i suggest you guys check out www.cdfreaks.com and www.cdrom-guide.com forums very good source of info on both sites used to be a mod at the DC section on cdrom-guide about 5 years ago.

Both are great places for info and knowledge

Oh and for PS2 fanboys unlike the PS2 you can softmod the XBOX to get homemade code running on the xbox enhancing yet even more the XBOX gaming experience it plays every console except the ps2 and dreamcast hopefully XBOX2 will play ps2 games and everything else rotflmao
