    Hi I am creating a game in flas, i want to be able to award the user points after they have successfully competed it, how is this done in flash, i've looked at the keeping scores tutorial but thats useless for my needs.

    it would be done through a variable. Your post shows that you are obviously clueless. Check out some basic actionscript tutorials on the net. Learn some actionscript and expirement with what you know and this will come to you.

    well when i wanted to keep score i used the kirupa tutorial even though that wasnt really like my game. Just change it to suit your game.
    Make a dynamic text field and give it a variable name and then in a movieclip put your actionscript like:

    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
    if(whateverhappens){
    _root.variablename = _root.variablename + 100;
    }
    }

    something like that would work i think.
