Introduction and Announcement section?

I know I am new here and other members might be wondering why I am even here. honestly I am really just bored.

I am not sure if it is appropriate for me to make a suggestion, but can we make an introduction and announcement sections here so that new members like me will be able to know where to start and what to follow?

Of course you're welcome to make suggestions! We do have a forum guide and an introductions thread.

Announcements happen, too, but they're usually temporary and last for a few weeks at a time. They show up above sticky threads in a forum. (Stickies are a great place to check for info too.)
