    PHP: Double variable filenames

    Hi. I was wondering: can files be named using 2 variables?
    something like:
    Code:
    $a="not";
    $b="_now";
    touch("$a$b.txt");
    If anyone knows how to do this, please tell me. Thank you.

    have you tested it? and if so, do you get any errors? what are the errors? what file is created instead? so many questions...

    You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

    well...that file was supposed to be named "not_now.txt", but was named "$a$b.txt"...but I just found out that I should be concatenating the strings, so it would look like this:
    Code:
    touch($a . $b . ".txt")
    Anyway...thanks...
