    Help comparing 2 strings a diffrent way

    Hello there,

    How can I do the same task but make this line different.
    this line recently got detected by 2 anti viruses.

    Code:
    if(!strcmp(szFileName, "C:\\file.exe"))
    how else can this line do the same thing just be different. "C:\\file.exe" must not change

    maybe you can separate the "file.exe" into different strings and combine them for that comparison?

  3. #3
    Make "C:\\file.exe" into a variable, and compare the two variables? If it still gets caught by AV, then it's the string that's the problem, not the statement.

    Vince how've you been?

    Generate the string at runtime.

    Code:
    char fileName[32];
    sprintf(fileName, "%s\\%s.%s", "C:", "file", "exe");
    ...
    strcmp(szFileName, fileName) ....
