Thread: Java JFrame has no close button

Java JFrame has no close button

Everytime I use simple JFrame code from some tutorial, I see what's in the window, but I have no minimize/close buttons. I'm SSH'ing into the school computer with XManager.

    Examples:
    http://www.javabeginner.com/jframe.htm
    http://www.apl.jhu.edu/~hall/java/Sw...al-JFrame.html

    Those tutorials promise things like:

But why do I only see the insides of the window with no chrome? And it's always crammed to the upper left corner of my screen.

I found out that if I run my program directly on the school computer, everything is fine. Just when I view it remotely, I have no chrome.

Sounds like a glitch in your whole SSH/XManager setup then. Every JFrame I've ever seen has been fine.
    Wait, what?
