    walking on the ground

    What key words should I search for if I want to make a ball or character walk/roll around on the ground? The ground would have curves and hills and I want the ball to move in relation to being on the ground. I can do the arrow key movement, but how to I always keep an MC on the ground?

    I don't even know what to search for.

    Search for object mesh collision detection and response. Usually your "ground" will be referred to as terrain, and the triangles that make it up form a mesh.
