Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    web sites & Databases ???

I need to be pointed in the right direction....

I'm building a web site for a car suspension business. They need their customers to be able to search though their products by the cars make, model & year.

Only problem is I've never made database or even know how to begin to search it.

    so are there any:

    a) any programs that does this for you

    b) any one who wants to make a few bucks on the side

    c) any websites that sells the code that allows type of thing to be done

or anything else that would be helpful...

    Thanks

    A) If it's mysql (A popular, free database system) then you can use phpmyadmin
    B) I would be very happy to make a few bucks
    C) There are sites that show you the basics on how to do it, or you could hire somebody to do it for you.
