    Dear Friends,

We are developing a multiplayer flash game[hosted in flashtampa.com] which needs access to our database in learnwithunclepaul.com.[bluehost server]

Unfortunately we can't connect to external database.

Please can somebody assist us or guide us in the right direction. We will provide any additional info if needed. Please this is a very urgent issue and is very crucial for us.

Even minor helps will be deeply appreciated!

    Eagerly looking forward

cant you put a php page on the same host as your database and have that php generate XML for ya based on queries?

then you can just use crossdomain.xml

or create a php page on your 2nd host that reads the php page xml for your other host and just spits it out...then you dont even need crossdomain policy

is external server access possible from flash swf

    Dear Joran,
Thanks for the reply. But fears my explanation of problem was not clear.

Our objective is to access the mysql database of learnwithunclepaul.com[_Login.php contains the database db password details and login verification queries] from http://es.www.701108.flashtampa.com/Login.swf

    Login.swf[Flashtampa.com] <===> _Login.php[Learnwithunclepaul.com]

We can't even access _Login.php from Login.swf - so php_xml generation based on queries is not possible

somehow we need access to php live page on learnwithunclepaul.com [not an xml_output dead page]

[really a game application in flashtampa for login verification and score posting needs this external database access - as the flashtampa host doesn't supports domainwebhosting and the bluehost_webhosting[learnwithunclepaul.com] doesn't provides affordable electroserver hosting solutions] - so cornered

I have gone through dozens & dozens of prev postings here and on flash-db.com but can't find a solution yet.

Fears as part of flash security this is not at all possible. Maybe Iam asking impossible things.

Experts here please point me if Iam wrong, I would be grateful if you could guide me through the right solution. Have been over this for past one week

Eagerly looks forward for an answer
    Sincerely
    Aji
