hate 2 ask
i know how to do a pre-loader but is the difference in doing a pre-loader in a html page. do you make a empty loading page then write script?

try this site: www.dynamicdrive.com and you should be able to find something on preloading most of the stuff on the page, so the user only has to load small stuff.

Yeah there is a diffrence, you would have to make a 'fake' preloader, and it will just be timed, like a 10 sec countdown, and hopefully everything will load.
Steady Resolve...sort of like going down with the sinking ship?

Well, I am not too sure on this but I once read:
When you make a webpage you can know approximate loading time [for example lets say 5 sec], so with that in mind you create your loader.. and the precentage bar will hit 100% in 5 seconds.. by then the page loads in the background, and hopefully it will load..
But remeber the loading times are diffrent with diffrent connections..Steady Resolve...sort of like going down with the sinking ship?
