Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    [C#] Simulate Mouse Click

    Hello.

    I need to be able to have a function simulate a mouse click on a non-button control in my program silently. By silent, I mean that if I run the program in the background, it would not give itself focus and would not hijack my mouse. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    KGen.

    This link may help you out: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...48(VS.80).aspx

    An alternate solution would be to place all of the event handler code in a separate method. By calling this separate method, you are able to execute the the same things that you would have been able to do by having the code placed directly inside the event handler.

    Great, now even Kirupa is { facebooking | twittering }

    Those solutions don't work, as they give the window focus.

    If it helps I tried to do this a long time ago and never found a solid solution.
