Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    PHP Flash email form

    Hello all..... sorry to bother you guys. but im having a problem with my created php flash emailer.. i have followed the tutorial ( Flash-Based Email Form Using PHP ).... Uploaded the flash file and php file to my server.. both files are in the same folder..

    $sendTo = "korabolex@hotmail.com";
    $subject = "Flash Email Form";

    $headers = "From: " . $_POST["name"];
    $headers .= "<" . $_POST["email"] . ">\r\n";
    $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";
    $headers .= "Return-Path: " . $_POST["email"];
    $message = $_POST["message"];

    mail($sendTo, $subject, $message, $headers);

    Hi

    Im no expert by along shot and it took me a while to get the same tutorial working, but it seems to me you are missing a bit of code form the php script.

    mine looks like this

    HTML Code:
    <?php

    $sendTo = "g_rochford@xxx.co.uk";
    $subject = "Contact Form";

    $headers = "From: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";

    $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";

    $headers .= "Return-path: " . $_POST["email"];

    $message .= "Message: " . $_POST["msg"] . "\r\n";
    $message .= "Name: " . $_POST["name"] . "\r\n";
    $message .= "Email: " . $_POST["email"] . "\r\n";
    ?>
    I had to change the message variable "msg" because it was sending the message twice to my email address. I suggest you do the same as its quite irritating! let me know if this helps

    Still no joy...
    I dont recieve anything.... when i click on send, at the bottom of the browser it just says "transferring data from armsarm.com" and stays.. so im assuming its not the .swf or the .php code but something to do with the server.. no idea?
