why do people shake their cigarette pack?
When people buy a new sealed cigarette pack. They always put the topside down against their palm and then shake it up and down, hitting their palm with the topside of the pack.
Why do they do this?

I think so all the tobacco gets more compressed into the cigarettes. I smoke, but have no idea why people do this

aye, it's called "packing" by some. and that's why one does that.
I have always done it to keep from losing tobacco out of my cigs while in the pack, but I think that there's a difference in how the cig smokes.do you miss "ordered"?

I'm glad it's been banned here in the UK in public areas.

I also pack my smokes. They tend to burn longer and the head does not fall off as easily.
