    Browser compatibility

This may be a silly question ...

Is there an html code to put in your script to make it compatiable with all browsers?

    no, there is not.

Could you not runa script to see what browser they are using , and then redirect them to a page comatible with there browser. But this would mean you woudl have to code the site many times.

the closest you can get is to script it for FF, then add
    *html
b4 tags you want to use in IE. That satisfy's most browsers. But of course, the use of that tag means ur XHTML isn't valid

you could, but browser detection scripts are very 2001. usually the most effective way is to code for FF and opera, then make slight modifications to compensate for IE. at least that's how i work best.
