Hi everyone,
I've been working on this site: http://www.lkdp.com . Disregarding the Flash portion, all I'm trying to do is get the flash embed to float in the middle of the page with repeating lines to the left and right. My current solution is table based with CSS:

HTML Code:
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body,td,th {
    color: #FFFFFF;
}
body {
    background-color: #000000;
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
}

div#centered {
    position:absolute;
    top:15%;
}
-->
</style></head>

<body>
<div id="centered">
  <table width="100%"  border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
      <td width="10" height="9"><div align="left"></div></td>
      <td height="9" align="left"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="317" height="9">
        <param name="movie" value="header.swf">
        <param name="quality" value="high">
        <embed src="header.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="317" height="9"></embed>
      </object></td>
    </tr>
  </table>
  <table width="100%"  border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
    <tr>
      <td height="400" background="bg_pattern.png">&nbsp;</td>
      <td width="750" height="400" align="center" bgcolor="#000000"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="750" height="400">
        <param name="movie" value="index.swf">
        <param name="quality" value="high">
        <embed src="index.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="750" height="400"></embed>
      </object></td>
      <td height="400" background="bg_pattern.png">&nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
  </table>
</div>
</body>
But this method does not display correctly in IE:mac or Safari. What gives? I suspect there's got to be a simpler, more compatible way to do this without tables. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
