Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    CSS Image Rollover issues

    Hey all! Since I found this tutorial on Kiurpa
    http://www.kirupa.com/web-tech/css_rollovers.htm
    Im wondering how do i make this work horizontally (background image to be horizontal) and to make it work for a full menu? As in UL and LI (Menu tags) CSS tags that is also horizontal...?

    If you wan the list to display horizontal you would do the following

    Make your list in XHTML
    PHP Code:
    <ul id="nav">
    <
    li><a href="#">Item</a></li>
    <
    li><a href="#">Item</a></li>
    <
    li><a href="#">Item</a></li>
    <
    li><a href="#">Item</a></li>
    </
    ul>

    And
    your CSS

    /*Removes the bullets from the list*/
    #nav {
    list-stlyenone;
    }

    /*makes the list display horizontaly*/
    #nav li {
    displayinline;

    That is very basic idea of how to accomplish such a menu
    Here are some links for mor in depth examples:

    List-a-matic is a great resource. I've used it many times.

    (They have an example of what you're trying to do on list-a-matic…)
