Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

Thread: Sliding div's.

    Sliding div's.

    Hey everyone,

I've been toying with this for a while. On http://www.shauninman.com/plete/ in the navigation bar on top, when you hover over the word "Navigation", the whole menu slides down, and everything slides along with it. I've been trying to replicate this. I've been setting a small button, so that on a rollover the div I want to have appear will just change it's margin from a negative value to a positive one. This works for getting it to appear, but I'm lost as to make the content slide across the screen.

Can anyone help me out here? I've looked at his source, and CSS sheets, and I've found nothing of use.

    Thanks for any help,
    -Rob
