Javascript: Read Title of Another Page

Is there a way to do this in Javascript? I have two pages, let's call one js.htm and one title.htm. I want the javascript code in js.htm to print out the <title> of title.htm. Is there a way to do this?

Edit: And yes, it has to be Javascript.

... cookies with strawberries. You should be able to set the cookie and read it from a different page (w/ javascript) so long as they're coming from the same domain
    PHP Code:
    <zip> echo this; </zip

I don't have access to edit the page that I'm trying to read the title from (and the user won't necessarily have been to the other page anyway)

    Maybe XMLHttpRequest?

EDIT: Hmm.. is the page you're trying to read the title from in the same domain as the page that's trying to read it?

Yes, it is. I'll look into XMLHttpRequest, thanks.
