CSS: make div stay at bottom of div

Hey. I need to get a div to stay down at the bottom of the parenting div. Css isnt a strongpoint for me, so whats the best way to go about this?

could you use <div align="bottom">???

um...i've had difficulties with that...i think on solution was

'bottom:0px'

or

'top:100%'

within css so it could be like this:

.footer { the above code }

experiment with them...i think it's best to set your page with a fixed height anyways, so then you'd just state a fixed size.

Use "making the absolute relative." Do something like this,

#parent { position: relative; }
#child { position: absolute; bottom: 0; }

This will make #child go to the very bottom of #parent.

Hope that helps.
