Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    You can't use SWFs as backgrounds with CSS.. at least not until SWFs get integrated with browser rendering engines (which will probably never happen )

    OK I see thank you.
    I must trink about how to do it without my css template.

    I will write it directly in HTML

    Embed your swf file into the HTML code. Thats the most you can do. Here is the code for it:
    Code:
    <object width="550" height="400">
    <param name="movie" value="yourfilename.swf">
    <embed src="yourfilename.swf" width="550" height="400">
    </embed>
    </object>
    Is it sufficient?

    Oh yes, I forgot to mention.. You need to edit the text in bold to suit your swf file's properties.

    Hi to all,

    You have to use it in index.jpg file through this code:-
    <object codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,124,0" width="900" height="160">
    <param name="movie" value="<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/nameoftemplate/images/logo.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <embed src="<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/nameoftemplate/images/logo.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="900" height="160"></embed>
    </object>
