Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

i don't think anybody wants to help a person with 8 posts create a game in flash since you don't really give any background support about the game or if you can code etc..

o: so do you want a tile-based version or 3D? and if its 3D i say this to everyone learn cpp and openGl because its like x1000 better then programming games in flash. otherwise 2D is piece a cake

Well the choise is online gameplay.
A 30 deg. isometric view or top view,
but obviousy speed must be taken under
consideration. Whats the best one ?
    Considering Flash limitations...
    Advices ?

    Thanks

well i would work on a 1 player mode first then add a online play >.>

considering flash limitations and how slow it is right now i would say 2D
but its your game if you want to do isometric not my choice

well this would be cool but i would wait for as3 since it will be 10x to 100x faster they claim...i mean the smoke effect can be done through the blur class, what you are looking to do will be one big project so i would expect to make some classes.. actually i maybe i will post a start for you something basic later
