i don't think anybody wants to help a person with 8 posts create a game in flash since you don't really give any background support about the game or if you can code etc..

o: so do you want a tile-based version or 3D? and if its 3D i say this to everyone learn cpp and openGl because its like x1000 better then programming games in flash. otherwise 2D is piece a cake

well i would work on a 1 player mode first then add a online play >.>
considering flash limitations and how slow it is right now i would say 2D
but its your game if you want to do isometric not my choice

well this would be cool but i would wait for as3 since it will be 10x to 100x faster they claim...i mean the smoke effect can be done through the blur class, what you are looking to do will be one big project so i would expect to make some classes.. actually i maybe i will post a start for you something basic later
