Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    simple login form

I've just completed this excellent tutorial http://www.kirupa.com/developer/acti...entication.htm
    and everything is working fine.

How do I create a simple form in flash that lets the user register his username and password and stores it into the database?

    hi!
I think that you should use the same dinamic as in the tutorial,

Flash Movie -> PHP -> DB -> PHP -> Flash Movie

But instead of just doing a reading to your database you should need to work on a full registration system. This is that you should made your registering form in flash that will send the new user data to a PHP program that should be able to verify the non-existence of the new user, and then write into the database the new user data.

    hope this helps...
