What Font?
Think twice before you ask this question. There are many places that you can look for your font before starting a thread about it, asking for a font identification should be a last resort, after you have tried everything in this thread.
Font idetification tools:

Please check all of these before posting another annoying "What Font?" thread, just so that we dont have so much clutter in the Drawing and Design forum.

I am going to sticky this for a short while...so peoples will get the message. Or until another Mod bludgeons me half to death and tells me to remove it. Thanks Dippy

FUDGING HELL HANSEL I WANTED TO MAKE THIS THREAD!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

f'ing hell ohh well , to the rest of new members here or current members, the WhatTheFont page on www.myfonts.com is the off unneccessary graphics near it and upload it to the website. The engine will try and identify your font. Most fonts, if not all are identifiable. But just because it can identify your font doesnt mean you get access to its download. A small payment is asked if you choose to buy it. Not everythings for free these days im afraid.
btw hansel you on my hit list.

postsThis should be applied to all the sections, PHP, flash, etc. They should search kirupa.com, phpfreaks.com, php.net etc, you know what I mean?
Oh and your using Verdana.

yeh thats should be another small suggestion. DDD, you could possibly add a small thread in each relevant sub-forum about "searching before posting". Many times people have posted similar questions already but cant be bothered to search.
cheers,

If your looking for someone to actually id the font you have visit: www.abstractfonts.com/forum then go to Fontomania sub-forum. Alas not all fonts can be identifiable by others so not keep your hopes up that much

DDD is on the lookout for font-ask posts so do youself a favour like me and go to: www.myfonts.com/whatthefont and head to their forum where you can get a reply specifically about a font id.

I disagree
I strongly think that you should have no right to edit someone's post... especially since they're just asking for a little help. Posting something like that in a forum can save you a lot of time should someone know the answer right off the bat.
For example, let's say someone posted a question about how to use the color fill in flash. Someone could easily answer their question in less than 2 seconds but what would you do instead? Change their post without their consent and humiliate them for not knowing where to go or what to do.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that you posted all those resources, I just don't think you should be abusing your privileges.
I think that as long as the posts arn't offensive, you should not edit them. If someone wants to reply, let them. Don't take away that right.<div align="center">[swf="http://69.72.226.10/~wzstudio/~site~/random/tailmodelkirupa.swf height=50 width=200"][/swf]

October 6th, 2004, 07:51 PM #11Also there is no need in answering a question that has been answered a million times. Also if I can answer in 2 seconds that mean the post(er) could have found it in 1 second or less. There are thousands upon thousands of posts here. People should think that maybe someone else has asked this let me see if it has been answered before. That is also what we are trying to support. Search and see how many threads we have on the subject and you will see why we do that. Actually if you would have searched you would not have posted what you did
