Everybody! This is important. In a few days, these forums will be moving over to using the totally sweet Discourse platform. To ensure this migration happens smoothly with no loss of content, these forums are currently in a read-only mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

There is never a good time to turn the forums off for an extended period of time, but I promise the new forums will be a billion times better. I'm pretty sure of it.

See you all on the other side in a few days, and if you have any (non-technical) questions, please e-mail me at kirupa@kirupa.com. For technical questions, try to find a tutorial that corresponds to what you are looking for and post in the comments section of that page.

Cheers,
Kirupa

    Use embed instead of object:

    PHP Code:
    <EMBED src="http://www.yoursite.com/footer.swf" quality=high WMODE=transparent  menu=false WIDTH=305 HEIGHT=65
    I'll Eat All the Babies!

    And....

    PHP Code:
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="300" height="60" ><c

    <param name=movie value="http://uniquechange.tripod.com/footer3.swf ">
            <
    param name=quality value="high">
            <
    param name=menu value="false">
            <
    embed src="flash/footer3.swf" width="300" height="60" quality=high pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" menu="false"></embed
          </
    object
The source of your movie is wrong.

I didin't link it correctly; got the source wrong.

I'm using the object tag so I can disable the menu option. That's the only way that I could work out how to anyhow.

I changed my post above to show that embedding can take out the menu!
