Without question the PS2.
I don't even have to explain it. I know people can go on about 'Halo' or whatever it's called, but I wouldn't swap my PS2 with any other console. I love it.

I am not big on console games at all. The most recent console is a Super Nintendo which is boxed up and stored somewhere =) So, I just blindly chose the XBOX ;-) Not that I ever played an XBOX or PS2, but the XBOX has an nVidia graphics card, which is what I have in my comp....that's my twisted, childish logic behind the vote for XBOX lol.
Cheers!

PS2 for the obvious reasons.
1) Its not owned by Microsoft.
2) Its NOT OWNED BY MICROSOFT!!
3) ITS NOT OWNED BY MICROSOFT!!!
4) The enormous game library and third party support
5) GTA III
6) GTA Vice CITY!
7) Tekken and Virtua Fighter
8) Dead to Rights *coming soon*
9) Hitman and Hitman 2!
10) Uhmmm...just because. Regardless of whether or not Xbox has a nVedia graphics card, or how good the graphics are. You have to have content over graphics. If you make beautiful games that suck hardcore then it dont matter. I'm going to take out my Nintendo and start playing Mario Bros. Playstation has beautiful games that are fun to play.
sintax321
November 28th, 2002, 12:40 PM
Thats exactly it. I can take a crap in a gold tolit but it will still be crap. You need to have gameplay to back up your graphics.

Yes, Xbox does have a lot of games, but PS2 has a much larger library. Its been out longer, more established. Its all preference. I like the final fantasy games, and the GTA series, and games like Tekken and Virtua Fighter. And you can't get those on Xbox. So I voted PS2

FFX is awesome. a little disappointing, but still a great game. Amazing graphics in that one. I think FF7 was the best tho... In fact, I'm going to play it thru again, and then 8 and then 9 and then maybe I'll play 10 again...

Read Big K's post. He just blindly picked one. That Xbox game catalog, I use it for *** wipe. It is piss poor compared to PS2's game library.

I know why big K (sounds like a gum huh?) picked it. And he has a point, but the Xbox library has more than enough games to keep oneself occupied, btw, i just pissed on my friends PS2 ,i caught on fire!
sintax321
November 28th, 2002, 01:47 PM
Quantity doesn't match for quality. And PS2 has Xbox beat in both.
The reason u caught fire is becasue it sensed your evil Xbox ways. it knew what it was doing
SureShot
November 28th, 2002, 01:49 PM
I wouldnt pick either. I have a gamecube and wouldnt trade it for anythig in the world.
Let me get into the reasons...
1. First Party Games - you cannot beat Zelda, Metroid, Mario,Star Fox, they are classics no matter how you look at them.
2. The console itself. You can choose from 3 colours, and one of them is PLATINUM! damn - ease choice right there :) Not to mention that the thing doesnt way more than you do *caugh* XBOX *cough*
3. The controler is amazing. It's not the absolute best for all games (most games are designed with the PS2 controler in mind) but its so comfortable and "melts" in your hand.
4. All the great 3 party games are there, not to mention some great exclusives from people such as Capcom and the Resident Evil Series as well as games like Eternal Darkness and an UNcencored version of BMX XXX (laughing at PS2 for that one!)
I could go on and on (I am kind of a fan boy when it comes to Nintendo) but just remember that the system isnt "kiddy" anymore and they are gearing towards older gamers more and more - WITHOUT loosing quality in game play, not something alot of companys can boast.
sintax321
November 28th, 2002, 01:51 PM
If i had to buy anything else it would be a game cube for the classic games. It in no ways is better then a PS2 though.

I've had a PS2 in my house for the last 4 days...
My thumbs hurt! :P
My only gripe with the machine (it is not mine, but a buddy's), is the controller is way too small, and needs to have more precise control. It was difficult to navigate my thug while he was beating up hookers... Then again, I don't play a lot of games (since the original Nintendo) ...
Anyway, I voted for PS2, more games, more peeps to talk with, Sony's a big employer in SF...
And

I think the PS2 controller is the best design possible. It gives u the most buttons at the easiest reach.

November 28th, 2002, 02:05 PM
I agree that the controler for the ps2 is a good one but it just doesnt feel as good in your hands as the gamecube one does.
If the cube had 2 shoulder buttons on each side instead of 1 it would kick sonys *** for sure :) Although it does have the digital "click buttons" but no one utilizes them!

I found the cude controler to small for my hands. Have u tried using and old nintendo controler. It feels really werid.

November 28th, 2002, 02:09 PM
The new smaller controller for Xbox surly beats all. The nice tough sensitive buttons, the doubble joystick or D pad on any game...its a buaut! And just the right size. Now there is talk about another controler with fans in it :P, keep your hands sweat free. Face it guys, you know you want the Xbox, it has so much potential, look at the new MGS2:S! Face it, you guys are seeing the end of PS2, its ok, let it go...

sintax321
November 28th, 2002, 02:26 PM
Thats not a wish there little man that is a fact. Origional the Xbox sold for $500. They where lossing $150 on eveyone they sold becasue the parts cost more then the sale price. They thought they would make the money back in game sales but it didn't happen. The affter a year of selling PS2 for $500 the ydroped the price t o$300. This forced Xbox after only 5-6months of sale to drop there price to $300. No the yare losing $350 on every machine sold. Plus now they are givng away to free games when u buy one. Do you really think they can afford to supply a product that they are lossing close to $500 on every time they sell one. i don't think so.

Xbox. I got xbox about 3 weeks ago and it's pretty good. The new S controller is really nice, probably one of the nicest I've ever used. Although it isn't loaded with good games, there are plans for some really good ones. Plus, PS2 has been out two times as long as Xbox so there is potential. For sports games ps2 doesn't stand a chance. I really kick myself because gtaIII runs bad on my computer and I want it. Then to add insult to injury, they made Vice City for psII only!!! I've been going to GTA forums for the past half year (mostly for the graphic design section but whatever ;) ) and then they don't give it to xbox. Sometimes I wish I had PS2 but xbox is a good choice.
Also I rented halo because we were going to have a family get together today and it's really fun and there's a cooperative campaign mode. Get this: playing a single player campaign with a team. It was so amazing. Couldn't like it more.
Overall, I think that xbox has great potential and it's only the beginning for the games, and psII is really good gameswise but will even up with xbox when xbox gets a little bit older.
Half of that probably didn't make sense but I'm too lazy to proofread :P

I personally feel that anybody who buys a console is wasting their money. They are unupgradable so you have to spend $400 every 2 years to buy a new one and during that time you can't upgrade it any. Plus I can't live without my mouse. The joystick / analog pad just can't compare to the smoothness of my hand, plus you can't insult people while you're whooping them in a game (to my knowledge). Plus I'm pretty sure xbox'es and ps2's only have 56k connection to play on the net, thats not even fun. PC ALL THE WAY!!!!!!. (plus you can't flash on a ps2 or xbox :))

Yes, this is True. Unfortunately you can't get all the good games for PC. The true power of PC graphics and performance is not completely taken advantage of. These companies see consoles as where the money is (and its true) so they go there, and make games for PC as an afterthought.... I have had too much bad luck with computer games in the past. Nothing beats my Atari, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, N64, and PS2. Not even my PC (which is horribly slow now, and I need to upgrade)...

November 28th, 2002, 11:41 PM
There are no good FPS's on consoles (halo is good FOR a console FPS but not for FPS in general) and I can't think of a single RTS game on a console. Many companies make games primarily for PC's, like Blizzard and Sierra. Plus games are not fun unless played online vs other humans. I could program a script that could beat a computer every time because it is not AI and will not learn from its mistakes. Humans on the other hand are different EVERY time you play which adds to the fun. And 56k's aren't fun, so until they at least get broadband, xbox live and the ps2 counterpart aren't really considered online multiplayer games (at least in my eyes).
Jubba
November 28th, 2002, 11:50 PM
True. I agree. There are a few companies that make games primarily for PCs. However, there are only a few of them. I love Blizzard. Starcraft and WarcraftIII are the greatest games ever made for PC. I'm not really worried about low FPS as long as it doesn't affect gameplay, and it hardly ever does.
I also agree about playing Humans. Even thought Battle.net sucked hardcore, playing other Humans at Starcraft was the greatest thing ever! I love that game...got to install it when I get back to school. Nothing beats Human competition...
I still prefer my PS2 to my PC when it comes to games. PC is for writing papers and making websites. PS2 is a break for my eyes.

FPS = first person shooter (i.e. Unreal Tournament, Half-life).
Radeon 9700 will have better graphics than any console. Even if it costs a little more than a console (or 4), its still got better graphics. There are also some cheaper video cards that are still better than the console ones. Although I guess if you had a big screen T.V. then consoles would be fun. But I just can't play a game unless its against other people, its just not fun for me.
Jubba
November 29th, 2002, 12:09 AM
lol... I've been working with Flash too long. Thanks. FPS for me translates into Frames Per Second... I'm slow, its late, and I'm tired :P
However, FPS don't really do it for me. I don't like those types of games, so it still doesn't really worry me. The last FPS game I played and enjoyed was GoldenEye for N64. I like action adventure games, RPGs, and thirdperson action (Metal Gear, Silent hill, Resident Evil...etc etc...)

I agree that PC is the best bet, but buying my Xbox was the first thing I bought in 6 years :beam: Actually my parents would rather let me get Xbox than upgrade a graphics card for 100 dollars for some reason. They think that I spend too much time on the computer...little do they know that xbox is essentially a scheme to take over the world muahahah!
I had N64 before that and I only had 2 games. One came free with it in a package. See, my parents don't like spending money, but SINCE I got first class rank AGAIN ( =) ) they let me hehe.

PS2 online feature will only be dsl conections I do belive. You have to be a classic gamer to really love the console. There is just something about a console that PC just can't match. With the neew DSL online play Features plus the new Keyboard and mouse there will be more RTS's geared towards consoles soon. My firends and I play warcraft together but it is so hard to crowd around his monioter to see whats going on. it will be awsome when we can sit in the living room and play.
[EDIT] Plus when i want to take a break from work to play a game it is nice to get away from the PC for an hour or two.

Well I was quite happy to go out and buy the new PS2. Not only did it have a better selection of games on it (in my mind, considering what I lke to play), but I could also play all my old PS1 games and saves on it as well. Plus the Final Fantasy series are PS / PC only.
I actually even kept my old PS1, mainly because I had it chipped to play American / Jap imports.
I looked at the XBox, but there wasn't really any particular games that I wanted to play on it. Plus I couldn't shake the belief that it would give me a blue screen of death after 10 minutes.

Yes Mak, I know what emulators and roms are and what they do, but as I said before, it fun to just get away from the computer for a while. I would rather have my PS2 than be playing FFX on my PC. Besides I have had bad experiences with playing games on PC. Inadequate graphics card, incompatible parts to play certain games. Its so much easier to just pop the DVD into the PS2 deck and let it load up. Regardless of anyone's argument, I will not be turning my PS2 in for a PC, suXbox, or a GC any time soon, and if I ever do have extra money and I purchase a new system, I'll probly upgrade my computer instead of buying a GC.

I gotta agree w/Jubba on this.
I have had major computer burn outs (a while ago, admitedly), while playing games on my computer.
I say buy a console, have it connected to a larger screen, and make it a group event by having friends in the room, cheering and laughing at you...
The bottom line, in my world anyway, is that the games are just for a diversion from life, so spend as little $ as possible to get the most amount of fun-time possible. I generally don't want to spend my fun-time sitting where I do to make a living every day...
Then again, I have just borrowed a PS2, and I own an old Sega Dreamcast, myself (I'm too cheap to even afford the PS2), so my opinion may not make a lot of difference to you serious gamerz...

If you already have a computer wouldn't it be cheaper to just play games on it? Just wondering what games did you get burned out on? Were they like counter strike or a non-heard of game?
You can have people in the room while playing games, just have a Lan. If you have a ethernet card just get some wires and lan the computers together and you can all be in the same room playing against each other, but the screen won't be cut in fourths.
Maybe if I worked on my computer for a job I would feel like you do and want to get away from it. I sure don't want to stay at school after 3:30 to play games.

Hey nali,
Yeah, I think the 9700 will drop to 300 by Christmas. In fact, it is 310 on pricewatch right now. If you are looking for prices that are not 2X the manufacturing cost, buy online. Nobody should ever go to a real-world store and buy hardware. Stores add extra for shipping, shelf space, etc.
The XBOX is a money loser, but MS has the resources to keep it going. For them, a few hundred million loss is a blip compared to the the 10s of billions in revenue the make every quarter.
Cheers!

As for the Xbox - Kirupa is right - they can afford to loose millions on the thing and not blink an eye but that's what sucks, they are buying up all these little software companies and are going to have a monopoly on the video game industry if we arent carefull!

Microsoft isn't even close to a monopoly on the gaming industry. Name one good game they've put out on a PC in the last 3 years. All they have is the X-box, and that's not even close to a monopoly.
Kirupa- Ya, I always forget to check pricewatch. I just went to ATI.com and they were having a "Christmas special: Radeon 9700 for $460". Maybe I should build a new desktop when I get off at college if prices are dropping.

NEW INFO
The Xbox is the better machine. :P
It has third party support. Microsoft owns it (people who hate microsoft, get a life) and that ensures years of quality games.
Oh, and how about all those great games coming out for it.
Some Sequels...
Splinter Cell 2, Ghost Recon 2, Halo 2,
Some new ones...
Counter Strike, Ninja Gaiden, Fable
MANY MANY others.
What does PS2 have on the horizon? A gay looking rehash of the Metal Gear Solid series... and Final Fantasy X-2. X-2, though, is a crappy desperate wail for money. It's not even a new game. They just took FFX, copied 90% of it, made some new FMV's and tweaked a bit.
Anyways. I still love PS2, but it's not the better system. It's sucking on all cylinders right now, and I don't see it picking up till AT LEAST next year.

Well we all know the xbox is the "better system" technically - but that doesnt make it the BEST when it comes to games - which let's face it, makes or breaks the system. Look at the Dreamcast, it was by far the best system in it's time but PS2 took all the wind out of it's sales and had an inferior product but the marketing, big games, big companies and EB employees *grrrrr* where behind it and look what happend. The DC just disapeared.
Games wise - if you want Quantity - go for the PS2 - they have a million and one games and some are great, but most are crap :)
Graphics - it's close between the GameCube and Xbox but Bill's box wins out for sure, it's just too powerful - not to mention the hard drive.
Overall - For me it's the GameCube (as most of you know) because I love their 1st party games more than any other ones out there and the controller is fantastic. Not to mention it's cheaper because it's not selling as strong as the other - bonus for me and the others who love the Cube :)
Either way - it's up to your preference... I have both an Xbox and GameCube. I play the Cube WAAAAAAAAY more often than I do the Xbox but I like them both - just for different reasons.

I am reluctant to just pick a console and say its the best.
I am a video game junky and have been since I got my NES in "86"
I have PS2, XBOX, GameCube, SNES, Sega Genesis, and N64 all currently hooked up in my living room. Some get more attention than others but all are used still.
Ps2 with its great library of games is an excellent system. Although it has limitaitons. The need to use a multitap for 3 or more players, extra equipment needed for online gaming. Xbox has intense graphics and some kick arse games. Although its library is somewhat limited. But having four controller ports a hard drive and integrated netwrk capibility make up for that.
Gamecube has an even smaller library of games and cannot play music cd's or DVD's. But nintendo holds thier game liscences with an iron fist and refuses to release them to be ported to other systems. So if you want mario and metroid....buy nintendo.
I love them all. I cant decide. Its like saying whats better a BMW or a Benz? They both are incredible automobiles....but have different features.

I'm aware of PS2's AWESOME library of games, I'm talking about what's coming.
'New info' as in ... not old. :P
I totally know where you're coming from, SS and Fester, but honestly the better system right now is the Xbox - based on it's game lineup as proposed at E3. Not on it's hardware in comparison to the PS2's.
Also- Keywords - OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG COUNTER-STRIKE!!!!
3: Keeping in context with the thread -> the gamecube is not included in my opinions, nor does it effect them... not that I think it's amazing, or bad, or anything. I'm just saying it isn't ... important to my opinion...
To be honest, I have no idea what nintendo did at E3. I missed that episode of Extended Play. lol.

It is. Because... like. ...Yeah. I watch british comedies and all I can do is stare while my aunt wails with laughter (she's VERY british). I understand... sort of where they're coming from. But it's not funny.
Also: Statistically -> canadians have the most intelligent senses of humor.
Or something like that.
Germans like it when jokes make people look stupid. Uhm. American's like just about anything...

Apparently many thought the same, but I hear the controller is rather intuitive. It's an exclusive in some magazine (which also has a Splinter Cell 2 exclusive). Makes you look twice.

PS2 for sure. Like Jubba said, it is not owned by Microsoft ( NOT :P).
1) It has a way better controller ( the XBOX's is just a plain ROCK which makes your hands hurt when you use it too long ).
2) There are way more and way better games for PS2. These are about the best:
PS2:
-- Grand Theft Auto Vice City
-- Grand Theft Auto III
-- SSX (Tricky)
-- Final Fantasy X, X2 & XI
-- Metal Gear Solid 2
-- Driver III
-- Enter The Matrix
-- Gran Turismo 3 & 4
-- Kingdom Hearts
-- NBA Street
-- NFS Hot Pursuit 2
-- Silent Hill 2 & 3
-- Socom US Navy Seals
-- Tekken 4
-- TimeSplitters 2
-- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4
XBOX:
-- Halo (2)
-- Project Gotham Racing
-- Splinter Cell
-- Ghost Recon 2
You were saying Aislin ? :bad:
3) You don't have to pay for online gaming by standard, you have to for XBOX (not sure though, but I think it was).
4) It just rocks !

You have to buy the net adapter for PS2. You buy the software for Xbox, and get the headset, and a 1 year free subscription.
Also, to prove you... More wrong.
The xbox controller wasn't all that bad. And because of the smallhanded people of the eastern (is japan eastern?) world, they've already changed it.
Next... your list of PS2 games.
PS2:
-- Grand Theft Auto Vice City (Same Game as GTAIII! :P)
-- Grand Theft Auto III (Same Game as VC! :P)
-- SSX (Tricky) (Amped)
-- Final Fantasy X, X2 & XI (XI is pay ALOT to play, wasn't that a complaint you made about xbox...)
-- Metal Gear Solid 2 (On Xbox)
-- Driver III (On Xbox)
-- Enter The Matrix (On Xbox)
-- Gran Turismo 3 & 4 (A hardly improved driving series... I believe there's a few of those on the xbox)
-- Kingdom Hearts (Spinoff of an RPG? I'm sure Microsoft's big share of Sega can compensate.)
-- NBA Street (On Xbox)
-- NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (What???)
-- Silent Hill 2 & 3 (Uh-huh. I'm not sure. but I think 3 is on Xbox.)
-- Socom US Navy Seals (Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon.)
-- Tekken 4 (Dead or Alive 3)
-- TimeSplitters 2 (Splinter Cell 1 or 2)
-- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4 (On Xbox)
List ain't so impressive now, is it? :D
Not trying to flame, I'm just trying to prove that the Xbox really honestly is good competition for the PS2. And as of E3, it's pretty much better. Fable alone (if it lives up to expectations) will blow FFX->FFXII out of the water. But I'll still buy FFXII cause I'm squaresofts whore. *whimpers softly while going to pre-order FFX-2*

Aislin - I do not agree with some of the things you have said.
1 - Time Splitters 2 - you compared it to Splinter Cell 1 or 2, they are not even close to the same type of games. Not to mention that the PS2 is going to have both of those games anyway.
2 - Kindom Hearts - it's a great RPG in it's own right and very critically aclaimed... not everything that is an RPG has to be like what has been done before. It's a great game.
3 - Gran Turismo - Hands down the best simulation racer on any system... and number 4 is going to push the limits of PS2 beyond belief. Another fantastic series.
4 - SSX Tricky - it's nothing like Amped - again, not a good comparison. SSX tricky is part of the "big" series from EA... Amped is more realistic.
----------------------------------------------------------
with all this said - I am by no means a PS2 advocit - in fact I dont really like the machine... but I will admit they have some great games and amazing series.

True, but what's ONE year ? And you can only have one account, if you want another, you have to buy another set.
Also, to prove you... More wrong.
The xbox controller wasn't all that bad. And because of the smallhanded people of the eastern (is japan eastern?) world, they've already changed it.
Yeah, exactly, they've changed it. Now why would that be ? :bad:
Next... your list of PS2 games.
PS2:
-- Grand Theft Auto Vice City (Same Game as GTAIII! :P)
No way !! It's a whole new game ! It involves helikopters, and motorcycles, and three times more weapons, and buildings you can buy, and outfits you can change and sooo much more
-- Grand Theft Auto III (Same Game as VC! :P)
Yet again, NO WAY !! It was a whole revolution for gaming. It wasn't for nothing best sold game. It's also harder then Vice. It makes no sense saying that the previous version is like the sequel.
-- SSX (Tricky) (Amped)
This can't be compared. Amped is more simulation than Tricky is arcade.
-- Final Fantasy X, X2 & XI (XI is pay ALOT to play, wasn't that a complaint you made about xbox...)
Yeah, XI is to pay, but ain't much. And do you know WHY you have to pay for it ? Because they are constantly working on it and making it better. Which is a blessing, isn't it ? And what about X & X2 ? You didn't say anything about those :bad: ...
-- Metal Gear Solid 2 (On Xbox)
Some time after the original to quickly pull some money from people who know that it's a great game on PS2.
-- Driver III (On Xbox)
True.
-- Enter The Matrix (On Xbox)
True.
-- Gran Turismo 3 & 4 (A hardly improved driving series... I believe there's a few of those on the xbox)
Hard to improve because it already is the best and certainly the most beautiful racing game on earth.
-- Kingdom Hearts (Spinoff of an RPG? I'm sure Microsoft's big share of Sega can compensate.)
Yeah, that's how they do it, they have to buy developers to get good games.
-- NBA Street (On Xbox)
True.
-- NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (What???)
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. You haven't even heard about it !?
-- Silent Hill 2 & 3 (Uh-huh. I'm not sure. but I think 3 is on Xbox.)
Nope, no three on XBOX.
-- Socom US Navy Seals (Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon.)
Grrr. :P
-- Tekken 4 (Dead or Alive 3)
True, those are about equal.
-- TimeSplitters 2 (Splinter Cell 1 or 2)
Can't be compared either. Splinter Cell is more about sneaking, TimeSplitters about action.
-- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4 (On Xbox)
**** you XBOX great-game stealers :P
List ain't so impressive now, is it? :D

It has better hardware, that's one thing. But better gaming experience ...

For me the choice was easy... I like RPGs Thats really all I play on the console systems. (I still have a working Sega CD just for Lunar :) ) So I got a PS2. (FFX X-2 XI XII, Xenosaga, Arc the Lad etc...) Plus I can still play all my PS1 Games. =) I still have my PS1, for the same reason as Kit. ;) In any case I don't really know about the rest of the game types (FPS, RTS, Racing, etc...) But Sony has had the RPG market cornered for years. =)
Cheers!

Neither. But if I had to, I would pick the Xbox. This wouldn't have been my choice before, but the Xbox has a lot of intresting games too now. Don't care if it's Microcrap. Besides, the graphics are better than the PS2. Compare Hitman2 on both consoles, you'll see...
If the graphics aren't that big a deal for you, pick a second hand Sega Dreamcast. Now *that* was a console. Good games too.
Now, when it comes to console design, who cares? OK, it's great when the plastic thing looks nice, but I wouldn't really care. Like a PC, it's the stuff inside that matters + the games. Especially the games. Always the games.
That's my opinion. I don't own a new console (only a Sega MegaDrive / Genesis), but I played a lot on the PS2 and Xbox before. I have friends who invite me over to play. ;) I like consoles, but I prefer a nice PC. Hitman is best on PC. :)

I've just worked out that I own the following:
PS2
PS1 (chipped)
PS1 (not chipped)
X Box
3 PCs
SNES
2 Amiga 1200's
And this scares me. :P

Two PS1? Why is that for? Can't you play copied games on your chipped PS1?

June 27th, 2003, 08:21 AM
Well, I bought a PS1 when they came out, and played it so much eventually it broke. So I bought another one. Chipped the new one so I could play imports from America like Xenogears... Then I had the original one fixed so I had two.
The PS2 and X Box were kind of obvious really.
Ended up with two Amigas after I got one (Amiga 500) for Christmas back in '89. Upgraded it with a memory expansion, but still couldn't play all the games I wanted so bought a 1200 as well.
The SNES I bought off a mate so I could play Mortal Kombat and Secret of Mana...
And don't ask about the PCs. :P

OH MAN! Lunar on Sega CD was such a good RPG! A buddy of mine lent it to me when it was like brand new when I was in junior high. I blew off so many baseball games and practices because of that game. I would love to start that bad oscar over again. The only thing I remember from it was that cool white dragon. I just know I loved it.
