Some Flash animation is a MUST!

Mod will set other rules once enough ppl join and it appears no others will or max number is reached.

2 questions:

What's the due date?
When you say PS & Flash, do you mean the final product is a website, or just a Flash file with bitmaps included?

Due date and rules are set by a modIts just a PS image with some flash animation over it. There is no mention of web design.

No u get more origonal pieces if u are left to find your own pics. The challange will be to make something in PS then put some animation with it in flash. IT might not even have pics if u don't want them, yyou might make the whole image in PS without any pics.

I find it more challanging and creative if all u have to go on is a theme.

This is an idividual challange and besides that is previous work which is not allowed. Also u don't even no the theme so u might not even work for this challange anyway. All I want are 2 or 3 serious challangers to a PS Flash battle. No colab's no previous work. So fare I only have one competator I need 1 or 2 more seroius ppl please.

I seems people are confused about PS and Flash together so I am going to try and unconfuse things.

What you mean is creating an image in Photoshop, whether from scratch or modifying stock photos. Then after you complete the image in Photoshop you will Import it into Flash and add effects in Flash to enhance the image (such as creating little animations over the image or whatnot)... am I right?

Actually that clears up a lot for me, lost. Do you give file-size restrictions (i.e. do I hafta optimize my thing to the max)? And if, for example, you gave a topic like Men In Black or something, could we use copyrighted MIB photos and stuff or does it all have to be original?

Your image can be any size and you can use photos from different sites, but only stock photos, not something already done by someone else.

Hmm, file size restrictions there should be, but I don't know how to judge that :-\ (I will think of something).

Copywrited photos... hmm, I don't think so, but screenshots would be allowed, as long as you edit them instead of just slapping them in your picture.

I'm sure it's fine to use copywritten photos on something like this, if it was a splash page or a job from a client then I would say no. This wouldn't be a big deal on file size lost....something like Flash or videos will need restrictions!

Well the computer I have is a Pent II. 333 with 32Mb of RAM. And it only has MSPaint on it. Maybe we should have a MSPaint battle!

Yes, we do take suggestions, and we do include weekends for battles because people with work or school may need the extra time. You can also make a suggestion on a Theme and if everyone agrees we can use that.

Yes i don't think fighters should have any say in the theme before hand. Odds are something u suggest is something u have already done or have in the works. Thus the greatness of the mod rule system, No one knows so no one has the upper hand.

Thats 4 ppl(alethos,HoJo,Thinker2501,Me). That should be enough ppl lost. If u want to throw down some rules we can get this thing started.Get Ready:evil:

Once Lost Has put down the Rules no other fighters are allowed. No pulling out becasue u don't like the theme. You must post on the due date unless an Extention is agreed apon. Do not post your work untill every one is ready. Do msg if u are done. If every one is done early we will post early.

I really hope this battle doesn't degenerate like some of the others in this forum. I stayed up till 1:30am finishing it, and I have to be up at 5:30am for work! :P

Anyway, I have no hosting so I guess I gotta attach my file. I won't do so yet, though, cause it's a hefty 800K+. I wanna see what the mods say about how I get my submission in. And thanks for your help, Lost.

It WOULD be ok, if that file size didn't exceed the limit of the boards ability (boards limit is 102400 bytes) :-\

I don't know a way for you to post it unless you have a friend with server space who is willing to host it, or you create one at a crappy free server :(

alright, here it is, at long last

the main picture was put together in photoshop as the rest was done in flash.

the whole idea of the item was to show that everything is decided by genetics, sex, sex appeal, strength, will, mind, all of it is threw genetics.

Well I created a geocities account since I'd need some form of hosting for the other battles anyway.

My entry doesn't make as much sense as Hojo's, but here it is. Turn on your speakers, pump up the volume, and follow the link to my submission (you might have to close the stupid advertisement in the corner in order to see the flash file...I'm not sure...stupid ads).
