Since H.C. would have turned 200 this year Denmark is swamped with H. C. Andersen events, film, theatre etc. He is everywhere... so I thought he should have a spot in the Kirupa Stamp Collection as well.

You might like it, you might not... but here it is


EDIT: Any comments on it? :ear:

lol, 17 øre? Kinda odd price :)

I think it's good, but the title needs to be moved, it kinda ruins the look of it :)

Yeah, the title isn't placed in the proper place. Other than that, nice. ;)

P.S. Colored one would look much better.

Think it'll be kinda hard finding a colour photo of Andersen... Seing as he's been dead for 130 years.


Re the title... Where would you suggest it should be? Readability on such a small canvas is kinda a problem if I shrink the text is all :puzzled:

I agree with elisoe though about the colour aspect... It gives that kind of old feeling to the stamp. But perhaps I will try a slightly coloured bg.

Will do the new version later... right now I have to focus on my exam project and I've hardly any time left. So H. C. -you'll have to wait.

ok... here is the new version... Man is it hard to find a proper font! So I did the writing myself... pxl by pxl hope it reads well.

Personally I prefer the crispness of the first one...albeit the 'title' might be all wrong :sure:
