Logo Design

I need some options.

I am designing a logo for a School program. I didn't come up with the idea, just making the school's idea real.

The star isn't the one that is going to be there. The school's star logo will go there so don't comment about that :hugegrin:

But what about the world apple/green and text. Not real sure on the font. I just pick one for now. But I do need some better motion lines... not really sure how this should look.

You could try and use a gradient-like different triangular shapes coming off the star(for the motion lines for the star im guessing is what you meant)... otherwise i think the text is fine, though the world looks a little odd in shape, if it is supposed to be an apple shape, I'd work on it a bit more...but good start!!

I think the text on the outside throws off the shape of the apple... therefore, I might just have to make the world round :hr:

Hmm... I might spice up the text a bit, and I'm not a huge fan of text on a path, looks a bit corny to me IMHO. I second the critique on the shape of the world, it's weird in the bottom left area.

I think it would look better if the globe looked more like an apple with the shadows and contours, right now it looks in-between. Or you could try to just make the top look like an apple with more shadows and highlights to make it look like an actual apple top. Definately mess around with some different fonts and in places besides just around the apple globe. For some reason right now it reminds me of the soviet uniion.

Its a good idea with the apple globe, just needs some work.

I'd ditch the grid lines, I know it conveys the apple aspect... but it's just too busy for a logo imo..:)

^ the first thing that came to my mind. obviously, it's the big red straight star, so if the school gives you a red star, you might want to consider modifying the position somehow.

the logo needs a lot of work. to start, rescale this to thumbnail size and look at all the lines you lose because they are so thin. second, either pick an apple or a globe. right now you're sort of in between and it looks like you screwed up drawing a circle. i dont' know which i'd like better, but if you are going to use an apple, you will need to move the text (probably to the right of the star)
