Nothing new, you can notice elements repete: I had very little time + was lazy. But still, never did red posters. So, this time a flyer/poster for my gf's college project. Comments, as usual.

Nice man. I feel some more seperation is needed between the text and the woman, otherwise sweet.

I have to disagree I think the text is clearly seperated from the woman.

There is nothing bad to say really as it looks great to me, I think it would look 10x better when its printed on some glossy paper :)

Great work Tommy

Very nice! I love that whole style to begin with, you pulled it together nicely I must say.

Hehe, thats cool.

I think that because the text is keylined, that stylistically, it is close to the design of the woman (bold, detailed strokes).

This is cool, but because of that, the fact that the same colour has been used, does make it a little confusing at a distance.

So it depends on whether the intention is as a pure aesthetic, or as something that will function intentionally as a poster.

Regardless, its very nice work, and looks great. Colours and textures are good... i got me some reading up to do ;).

I printed it on a photo quality glossy paper Lomond( 230g/m2, 100x150mm) and it looks much much better. So fresh and colorful. It's OK. ;) :D

Quick question Tommy, how did you do that to the girl? like, what method did you use to achieve the end result?

From a CD with pin-up girls. As you can see, it's redrawn/remade completely.

Well obviously :cap:, so you did it manually in Photoshop? or is there a combination of filters you used?

I'd say Tommy used Illustrator or Freehand to redraw the girl. I know how much he loves his vectors. Prolly did all but the grunge in a vector app. Then off to PS for the finishing touches. Am I right?

I was curious about the girl picture cause I'd seen it before on that 24/7 Media site. I like the red vector version better though. :beam:

Absolutely, mate. ;)

Well, 24-7 Media also used this illo, but it's not theirs. The original illo was drawn by Earl MacPherson. :hat:
