Alright I just installed Fedora and I have a problem. I installed it on a 40 GB partition of my HD and the other 150 GB were partitioned to Windows XP. I wan't to be able to boot into WIndows but it always goes to Linux. Any help?

Go into BIOS settings, and change the boot sequence.
Plus, I found out dual booting slows the system down by a lot.

Whenever your computer is booting you should first get to the GRUB screen (Fedora doesn't use LILO anymore does it?) that has a Fedora Core splash image of some kind. You may have to press a key when this screen is displayed to see your OS options. If you do get into an OS options list, you'll probably want to boot into the option that says "dos" or something to that nature. If you don't change the name, Fedora always calls Windows "dos."
I'm probably not helping much, but this is hard to do without actually sitting in front of your computer. I'm almost certain that Fedora didn't delete your windows install, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Nah I have to same thing, but I use two HD's. If you go into the BIOS settings, and alter the boot sequence, it'll work. I'm personal friends with Tom, so I'll help him out.

I don't think he's got two hd's.. he mentions 2 partitions so changing the boot sequence from bios (unless there's a way to set boot partition) wont work..
Grub or Lilo or a similar bootloaded is needed. Fedora comes with grub. Maybe it's not configured??

I noticed that DOS option but I figured it would be booting to DOS, not Windows. I'll have to re-install Linux and try it out, thanks.

Haha Tom, I had the same thing when I started off. When it said DOS, I didn't feel like clicking on it, so I decided to just ignore it, and uninstall Linux. I reccomend getting another small HD, like a 8g.
