Alright, I have Windows 2000 and I'm having troubles installing some older games... Everytime I attempt to install some older games ('99+) I get this error message in everygame:

C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The System file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

I find this wierd because I know Windows XP doesn't support MS-DOS, and I thought that Windows 2000 did... any help would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Windows XP is based on the 2000 core (or whatever Windows geeks would call it. I for one am not). They do not support MS-DOS.. You can emulate a virtual machine though, install 98 on it and play them there ^_^

right click the program icon and go to properties, then select the compatibility tab - then set the windows OS version and other settings as needed - then run the program :)

works for the most part - some things are straight up DOS - but it works for a ton!
