hello, recently my church was donated 15 computer. i have to set them all up. everything i have done with no problem, but the only question i have is about the internet. i have to enable internet connection on all 15 computers. the original plan was to just drill holes in the walls and connect it using a hub. but i was thinking, "why not forget about drilling holes and use a wireless router?" like for my router i need to connect it directly to my dsl modem, but is there a way i dont have to do that? well suggestions will be taken happily ;D.

of course you can! all you will need:

A) a wireless router
B) a wireless network card for every computer
C) to read the directions that come with the router and the network cards :D

also it will be slow as it is, 15 computers running off of 1 dsl modem, and to top it all off WIRELESS! lol.

if you think about it, even if you've got 15 machines running at the same time, chances are not everyone will be downloading simultaneously. rather, you'll most likely have a lot of people reading content that is already loaded. unless your dsl connection is very slow, you shouldn't have a problem.

and with wireless you've got to contend with the fact that the signal might not reach all of the computers. this is not really an issue with wired connections.

You can't use a wireless modem if you don't have wireless cards dude, how are the computers gonna pick up the modem? They need a card...

If you get a wired modem, you will need a hub with more eithernet ports in it, but if you go wireless, you can connect a ton of computers to it (wirelessly of course), and it will probably cost you less overall (cables can be expensive, plus drilling holes etc...)
