I just downloaded Quicktime 7 for my laptop.

WOW, it's so much better than 6, theres a ton of new features, and the quality of the video is so much better!

On all my .dv files, which have been exported from iMovie and Final Cut, the text always came out all pixelated and crappy quality, not with QT7, it gives really crisp text, the video and sound quality is much better aswel.

The new Quicktime Pro is also very good, the fullscreen mode is now much better, with a cool little controller.

If you have a Mac, go download it.

If you have a PC, wait until it's out for Windows :P

Rather use a codec, my PC doesn't like Quicktime at all.

Max, what codec do you use? I'd seriously love one rather than having QT poopping up all the time.

Windows Media Classic does my QT, works like a charm.

hey butters have you tested this codec on the other side of things.. making a movie and saving it to this codec? hows the file compression? what percentage can the original file be cut down and whats the good and bad point of the quicktime and the new codec that you know of..

cheers

Our teacher at uni was talking about Quicktime today, he's a real Mac fan. Anyway I mite get this for PC, only because I have some quicktime files that are tutorials. I just hope that apple dont combine Quicktime 7 with iTunes like they did with the current version of Quicktime for PC,
