Well I've been commisioned by a new wine store I've been doing work for (deVine) to do monthly posters for them to sell in their store. They want me to produce one a month, and there are no real restrictions. They are giving me complete creative freedom, they just want them to be wine related in some fashion. The idea is that people putting in wine cellars in high end homes will want different original artwork for their walls, without costing an arm and leg.

Here's the May addition - the month they plan on opening their doors for business. It has recieved a good response and most of them have already been presold, so we are going to print many more than we had anticipated :thumb:

But I'd like to see what you all think...

Oh its printed on high-gloss 12" by 18" poster paper.

pimpin! Only the drop of wine is off a bit, not sure if it was intentional but i think it might look better if it was completely straight. Also the top of your wine bottles is a little off, err and i think the part where the bottle neck meets the body of the bottle is a little off...lol sorry to be picky. I think the text at the bottom looks a little plain, maybe add their logo, or make 'may' bold or whiter or something. The background is cool, but the middle draws a little too much attention.

lol easy research idea >> go into beveragesAndMore and write down all the quotes from their walls, those would be great for future month renditions!

Sounds good you get all this work from them, and that the posters are pre-soldout! Nice work,
-Jesse

only thing i dont like is the way that text down the bottom is aligned - it's too neat and all the spacing between the letters is different.

and maybe if you moved the background images away from the centre line so it doesn't cut so close.

and i think there should be some shadows on the label part - it sticks out when you look closely.

other than that i think its fantastic good job. :thumb:

^^ same here I think the actual art is great, but that text just looks a little too much structured for the poster, what djn has just suggested should work better.

very nice work :)
