Hi:

I'm trying to build a set of menu items arranged vertically, and to be able to change their scale and position according to the current item selected, giving it some sort of depth effect. found a little bit about scaling menus, and used a script(nothing explained much, just cut and paste) that changes alpha an size of the menu items. I managed to add a swapDepths to bring to front the current item. I need now to figure out how to make the first item full size/alpha on load, move the items to make it look like they're rotating backwards, and get them to stay on their states when one of them is pressed (that is, one at full size/alpha and the others faded and smaller).

Any guidance and help would be most appreciated.

The test file i'm working on can be downloaded from here (http://www.instrumental.cl/otros/test2.fla), it's in FMX format.

Thanks in advance

i did a fake version with tweening, to show what i'm after (it shouldn't move all the time, i'm working on the stops and the gotoanplays)... i'll try to turn it into a working menu, but i'm still very interested on knowing how to do it with actionscript.

i'm looking for something almost exactly like this:

http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/9659.html

i've started out by following the merry-go-round tutorial on Kirupa.com (and using other sites to customize it so that only the front three boxes are visible - the rest are invisible). the only difference between the one on template monster is that when you click on the green box, it goes all the way around before stopping at the front. i'd like it to simply take the short route to the front.

it doesn't look like sir patroclo and i are getting any help. please, anybody?
