Hey people,
I just made up a new desktop a few days ago, and thought I'd post it for fun. It's no vts31 production, but I thought it looked interesting and different.

Wicked cool, seems like it would be hard to see your icons on it though :-\
Nice job either way :)

First of all, thanks for the kind words. (and just responding in general). It does use some whites with some light shades of blue for the left side, but it works well for icons (at least for me). I like to switch the general configuration of where all my icons are from time to time. Keeping them all on the left side top to bottom gets a little boring (for me personally). Here's a screen shot of how my desktop looks with the icon arrangement/colours arrangement (for the colour behind the text for icons). It works if you like changing from the default config. Here's the example:

Lemme know what ya think,

Oh ok, it makes sense now :)
I think it is cool, it looks like your icons have just been washed away by a huge wave :)

hey there,
rastaherbman - Thanks a lot :). As to the tools I used, this was entirely a photoshop production. It took around 45 minutes to make. It's a blend of a few filters and a decent about of brush work. A lot of the time I've found that when you're play around with software you tend to find all the neat and cool stuff it can do, and man does photoshop have a lot of features to play with.
h88 - Thank ya :) I'm glad you liked it.
Have a good one guys/gals,

Hey,
This was just done playing around with photoshop, no tutorials were invovled. As to if I can make up a tutorial on how I did it... sure, probably. I'm just not sure when i'd be able to get it done.
Maybe in a few weeks or so?
Lemme know if you're still interested.

I forgot to ask, which tutorial of yours were you referring to anyways? I normally peruse the tutorials section to see what's hanging around and I guess I just must have missed it.

Morse,
Start up a new threat with some of your work. It's always good to get feedback/help/opinions on where you could improve. Or to just hear some compliments. I'll make sure to look and respond :)
