I've always wondered how they do this stuff...

I've also seen this kind of thing on HP ads and suchlike.
Does anyone know a way to do it in Illustrator or Corel without the need to spend hours drawing lines?
Thanks :D

Illustrator blends make some very nice effects at least similar to this. Take two outlined shapes and click the blend tool on each. Then you can go to object>blend>blend options and play with the settings there. You can also use the direct selection tool to adjust the path between those two shapes. Good stuff!

This is actually a pretty easy effect. First make yourself a shape. Lets say an oval. Then you want to go to object-transform-transform each. Play with these settings (use small numbers for each setting) and make sure to copy the image. Keep hitting the duplicate command (apple d) until the shape starts to rotate and starts to look something like what you have posted. Very simple and beautiful!!

Or you could make these in a 3d application like 3ds Max. Make a basic render(like an oval shape) and choose wire framing and then select the render to ouput to an .eps file or Targa file.
