Personal site layout

Well, i made a layout for my personal site.. Just some sort of portfolio..
Was wondering what others think about it.. nothing works yet, and don't pay to much attention to the text (dutch) it's just there to fill the page..

Don't forget to add a preloader. Erm.. don't like how the logo surrounds the content box (maybe with some other brighter color it would look OK). To crown it all, don't like this content box, at all. The menu is quite alright, but the titles could be bigger( for better reading). Dynamic text in Italics doesn't look its best. Well, the shadow appears only in the right top corner and the left bottom corner. If you were to make a bend effect, I could say, you hadn't made a good result. It doesn't look like the corners are bent. That's it. But on the whole, tha layout is pretty nice.

looks ok but i have a feeling there's something missing. can't quite put my finger on it though. it feels a bit empty. i'm also not really feeling your colour scheme, it looks so cold. have you tried out some different colors?
the menu is nice but i would however integrate it somehow in your content boxes.
and another thing i wanna mention (not that big of a deal, just something worth mentioning) i'd try to rephrase your sentences a bit (i'm belgian, so i understand what it says ;) ) cause stuff like:

doesn't really sound professional, kinda makes you look like someone who starts something but doesn't wanna make a finished product, if you understand what i'm saying. it doesn't bother me, but it bothers professional companies.

all in all it's a pretty good layout, with a few adjustments here and there you can make it better :thumb:

I don't really lik the post it notes, they don't seem to go with the bottom half for me. It seems a bit cramped down in the bottom right. Nice start though :).

Really bad, as a good designer u should have good knlodge about colour schemes and fonts usage , and about preloader.

dont feel bad but it is true that u have to improve alot

Pretty nice Bart. The menu i don't really like. Too different from the rest of the site.
The different fonts in the welkom-text are a bit messy. I think it's better to do less changes. (only the blue and bold, maybe)
I do like the backgroundcolor a lot!

Keep working on it. Finish this one and post it here when you made updates, i'm curious how it will develop further.

Yea the site is cramped, the text looks bad and the post it note dont really go well

word.... bart... its a nice concept... bu ti'm not to sure i agree with how it looks... the title wrapping everything really conflicts and confuses my eye... and it also conflicts with the navi system....

maybe you should make the actual site layout a grunge paper style, the bottuns look nice, but the site would look better if it all adopted that style. Also shoose a font to go with the grunge thing.
