Alright guys i am relatively new to flash and am wonderin whether it is beyond flash's capabilities to create a minimap and if you can how?

i think it's very possible, but i don't get the idea clearly, do you mean like the minimaps from Zelda?, the ones that appear on the bottom right of the screen

well, i think should be easy to do, all you need it's the map, add a new MC with the map in it, add some action script to the instance of the MC and i belive that's it, i'll try to make you an example, just be a little patient...

yer thatsgood but ive tries it with a platform game and mi character jus falls through the ground

Good job with the example eiefai. As for your falling through the ground problem nathan99, does the script itself work in the first place? If it doesn't then try changing the script around to try a different style.
