for a Flash site, nice. For a "first" Flash site, GREAT work. Love the color scheme, love the transitions, love the intro. etc. :)
good work sir.

Wow you really put alot of effort into that site for sure.
Great work - I hope your cleint (if it's not yourself) was impressed! If this is your first flash site, Imagine what you will be doing in another couple months! :)

cheers again for all the encouragment, guys!
it was for a client (there's nothing like a bit of pressure to learn something)

Yeah damn good job. The sound is great and especially for your first time it is awesome! You say you learned Flash for a client, so how long did it take you to learn it?
Good job!

i'm STILL learning...
:)
the whole affair took about 5 months. if you break that down to real time (2-3 hours 3-4 evenings per week) it's something like 4-6 weeks of development
one of the reasons it took so long was because i had to wait for the client to give me information, images etc... sometimes i would do nothing for a week, just waiting for stuff... and sometimes the client would change all the words and things i'd already done [it boils down to bad management on my part, not the client's]
also, the first 3 weeks i [miss]used putting a load of draft sites together to demo... when [i know now] i could have sketched everything on paper until a definite draft was chosen
one important thing i learned was this: the client doesn't know what they want. but the client knows EXACTLY what they don't want.
as for talent... well. i wish i could do nice things in photoshop!
and as for pay... he he... :) well, i'll tell you when i get paid!
PS i'm not going anywhere! i need you guys! :)
