The difference is a full version of Flash. I think they should remain separated.

Me too. How else would one know if people are talking about Flash MX 2004 components, or AS 2.0 instead of AS 1.0 etc..

The earlier versions were good for beginners as the "Actions" panel had a little side-menu of all the AS commands you could just click on. I don't think FMX2004Pro has this.

MX 2004 has the side menu, what it doesnt have is normal mode for the actions panel. This is a mode where you didn't type actions directly into the actions window (thats in "expert" mode which is all MX04 has) but instead you could add actions through a drop-down and input areas were given for what options were available for those actions. It made it really easy to use actionscript without even knowing how to.

Both are too different to merge them together. Why not just keep things the way they are.

Merging the two forums would be stupid. If we did that, there would be confusion with people getting their MX problems answered in AS 2 , so the solution wouldn't work for them.

If you asked people to put their version of Flash in the title, there would be plenty of people that wouldn't, so things would be slowed down in getting a response to them.

Why are you Mr. Flash MX, if you've never even used Flash MX?
